While a simple ECG records the rhythmic activity of your heart over just a few seconds, the Holter is a recording over several hours, usually at least 24 hours but sometimes longer. Electrodes are applied to your chest and connected to a recording box. The heart rate will then be analyzed by a cardiologist.
